Dave Wills

Dave was appointed Head of Merchant Services in September 2011 and is responsible for the Sales and Relationship Management Division, Strategy, Planning, Product Management and Proposition Development. Merchants Services sits within Transaction Banking.

He has been in the Lloyds Banking Group for 7 years and prior to the current role he was the Head of Sales and Relationship Management for Cardnet with responsibility for all new sales and relationship management activity.

Prior to joining Lloyds Bank, Dave was with Barclays for 17 years. The last 10 years of which were spent within the Barclaycard Acquiring Division, successfully leading the International Acquiring Team.

Dave has extensive Financial Services experience in B2B sales and Client Management, spanning SME to Large and Global Corporate. Most recent experience has been with wider P&L responsibility.

He also has proven expertise within the Credit Card industry, specifically Merchant Acquiring, both within the UK and across Europe. He has built and led a new Sales teams focused on a New Emerging Markets and has re-structured business units, involving change, People and process management.

Dave is originally from Devon, now living in Northampton with his partner Sherell. His interests include participating in and following most sports, especially Golf at which he has represented Devon at all levels, from Under 18 through to Under 21 level, captaining both teams and then on to the Full County side for two years. He also enjoys socialising, eating out and the financial world.
