While global economic conditions remain uncertain, investment in infrastructure has held up relatively well; a key indicator of the important role that the sector will play in generating a sustained, long-term recovery.
This broader trend is reflected in the growth of our project finance capabilities, and our growing status as Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA) is a clear sign of our increased presence in the project finance arena. Our team has established itself as one of the most experienced groups of professionals in the European and North American infrastructure finance market, and we have consistently supported projects through the cycle, making significant funding commitments and delivering expertise.
Over the following pages you can find out about our commitment to large infrastructure projects procured by governments and their agencies through public-private partnerships, which has seen us sign more than 200 such projects to date, including the recent Southmead ‘super hospital’ in Bristol and the 25-year Birmingham Highways scheme. You can also read about our growing international presence, with the team funding major projects in the US energy and transport sectors, as well as taking a lead MLA role in continental Europe on the New Karolinska Solna Hospital deal.
