Gershon Cohen is CEO and Fund Principal of Infrastructure Funds. His previous role was Managing Director & Global Head of Project Finance.
Gershon trained as an accountant and from 1987 to 1989 was in the asset finance division of NatWest Bank. From 1990 to 1997 he was an associate director at Hill Samuel Bank, and he joined HBOS in 1998 and became Head of Infrastructure Finance group in 2005. He has played a pivotal role in structuring, arranging and providing innovative funding solutions to a range of groundbreaking UK and European PFI/PPP projects in healthcare, transport, wastewater and education. Most recently, he led fundraising efforts for the bank's first institutional infrastructure fund and is Chairman of the fund's advisory committee. He has presented at numerous conferences and seminars and has written a number of articles on financing infrastructure.
