Patrick Shone heads the Financial Strategies Team in Capital Markets.
The team brings together a number of experienced specialists to provide our customers with through-the-cycle balance sheet optimisation and strategic risk management guidance and analysis.
Patrick joined HBOS in 2003, where he ran the Structured Derivatives desk, providing securitisation swaps and sales and structuring coverage for derivatives for the PFI, Project Finance, Energy, Aircraft and Shipping origination teams. He was also responsible for a commodity and an inflation trading book. Prior to that, he was involved in derivative structuring at Swiss Re Financial Products. He started his derivates career at Hill Samuel and has worked in this field at a number of organisations including Daiwa Securities, Greenwich NatWest and RBS.
Patrick has a law degree from The University of Cambridge
