Hugh has undertaken a number of Divisional and Group HR roles in his career covering amongst other things Business Partnership, Reward and Pensions, Learning and Development, Employee and Union Relations and Organisational Development.
He has played a lead HR role in a number of strategic reviews and mergers/acquisitions, including the Equitable Life acquisition, Halifax/Bank of Scotland Merger, re-organisation of Lloyds Banking Group's Irish operations and the disposal of Insight Asset Management to Bank of New York Mellon.
In his current role, Hugh is HR Director for the Group's Wealth and International, Retail Telephony, Products and Marketing areas.
Hugh is married with two teenage daughters and lives in North Berwick near Edinburgh. Hugh has a MBA from Strathclyde University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
